The Highland District Soccer Association and it's member grass roots Clubs now manage AA/AAA soccer programming in the Highland Region - Amherst to Port Hawkesbury. AA/AAA competitive teams/programs will now be run directly by the Highland District and be identified as Highland FC.

By bringing AA/AAA soccer under the HDSA, in partnership with our community clubs we now offer a full player pathway from mini to AAA that services players at all ages and abilities within the Highland Region. This effective use of resources also allows our Regional Technical Director to focus more on grass roots development and coach mentorship. Registration and communication for AA/AA players/teams will now be run through the Highland website.  

While the on-field will not look immediately different, this is a positive step forward in bringing our Region together.  Highland FC is accountable to, and run by the grass roots clubs and is simply an extension of the excellent programming done in each of our local regions.

Highland FC teams still compete in the Nova Scotia Soccer League, playing teams from across the province, and the player pool for these teams still comes from the entire Highland region that covers northern Nova Scotia (the counties of Cumberland, Colchester, Pictou, Antigonish, Guysborough, and eastern parts of Inverness/Richmond)
